In Hamilton County alone, 1,520 domestic violence incidents were reported in 2023.

1 in 3 women
have experienced severe physical violence from an intimate partner in their lifetime. 

97% of those fleeing domestic violence report that
keeping pets is an important factor in seeking
shelter.
